Start a wonderful 6-day journey to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Travel on a coach bus from Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge, MN. Our first stop is in Dyersville, Iowa, to visit the Field of Dreams. Find nostalgia and an earnest sense of believing as you explore this movie location. We’ll have two hours to tour the farmhouse, check out the grounds, and the gift shop.
We will see the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, IL. See history come to life with Civil war artifacts and important documents such as the Gettysburg Address and Emancipation Proclamation.
On Day 3, we get to see some of God’s handiwork through nature and then the Creation Museum! The morning will be the Marengo Caves, a U.S. national landmark and Indiana’s most visited natural attraction. In the afternoon, we will arrive at the Creation Museum and start exploring. This location includes a planetarium, zoo and stunning exhibits. Then it’s what you’ve all been waiting for! The Ark Encounter on Day 4. This is going to be a highlight for many, as it is a replica of Noah’s Ark built according to the dimensions in the bible. You can see 3 different floors of informational exhibits that show what life on the Ark may have been like.

We’ll be in St. Louis, Missouri and see the tallest arch in the world at Gateway Arch National Park, otherwise known as the St. Louis Arch. Ride to the top for a magnificent view. Then we will see a National Shrine called Our Lady of Snows. This shrine honors the occasion in Rome where an apparition of Our Lady appeared to a couple as it snowed in the summertime. This expansive area around the shrine has beautiful spaces including the Annunciation Garden, Father’s Memorial Wall and a replica of the Lourdes Grotto.
We are wrapping up the trip with Sunday Mass at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Peoria, Illinois where the tomb of Archbishop Fulton Sheen is. Sheen is best known for his television show named ‘Life Is Worth Living’, where he brought Catholic entertainment to the masses. He raised millions of dollars for various missions in his lifetime.
